Andrei<\/strong>, the scholar\u2019s son, established the <strong data-start=\"365\" data-end=\"410\">\u201cPetre Andrei\u201d Academic Foundation (FAPA)<\/strong>, a non-governmental, apolitical, and non-profit organization.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"476\" data-end=\"806\">Within FAPA, during the academic year 1990\u20131991, the <strong data-start=\"529\" data-end=\"593\">University of the \u201cPetre Andrei\u201d Academic Foundation (UFAPA)<\/strong> was created, which bore the name <strong data-start=\"627\" data-end=\"662\">\u201cPetre Andrei\u201d University (UPA)<\/strong> and initially comprised three faculties: Law, Economics, and Psychology. In 1998, the <strong data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"782\">Faculty of Political Sciences<\/strong> was also established.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"808\" data-end=\"1127\">After completing all stages of provisional authorization and accreditation, and based on the assets provided by FAPA, through <strong data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"954\">Law no. 408\/2002<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"960\" data-end=\"997\">\u201cPetre Andrei\u201d University of Ia\u0219i<\/strong> was founded as a higher education institution, privately governed but of public utility, part of the national education system.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
