“Petre Andrei” University of Iași is the largest and most prestigious private higher education institution in Moldova. It was founded in 1990 as part of the “Petre Andrei” Academic Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to the memory of Petre Andrei, a well-known philosopher and academician. Following a thorough institutional evaluation process, in 2002, “Petre Andrei” University was accredited under Law 408/June 20, 2002, as a private higher education institution of public utility, fully integrated into the Romanian educational system. All our bachelor’s and master’s degrees are recognized and certified by the Ministry of Education. Our study programs are developed in accordance with the provisions of the Bologna Treaty.
Our main objective is to lay the foundation for our students’ future by offering study programs tailored to their needs. Our curricula are based on current research and the latest trends in the Romanian labor market, aiming to provide life skills and practical employability. Creative thinking, pedagogical diversity, and interdisciplinarity are key concepts in our educational offer.
“Petre Andrei” University has a long-standing tradition of working in and for the community. We also maintain a close relationship with the business sector and employers in our region. In a study called University Ranking, which measured trust and satisfaction with the educational offerings of all Romanian universities, “Petre Andrei” University ranked 6th, surpassing many other recognized institutions nationwide and all other universities in Iași. The study was conducted nationally by the German company Kienbaum Management Consultants and Capital magazine, involving 3,193 students and 395 representatives from 35 companies.
Our university is also actively involved in numerous social, awareness, and humanitarian campaigns.
