Foreign citizens can study at our university, but they cannot enrol with the regular online form.
Next steps:
- Please fill in the application form, available for undergraduate enrolment here (link to http://www.upa.ro/formular-inscriere-studii-licenta/)
- In the form, candidates have the possibility to fill in a maximum of three (3) options out of the seven possible specializations, in order of preference (named in the form Option 1, Option 2 and Option 3). It is compulsory to complete at least Option 1. If you wish to apply for admission to only one specialization, leave Options 2 and 3 blank.
- Towards the end of the application form (after Option 3), legible digital copies of the documents required for application (in .jpg, .jpeg or .pdf format, maximum 10 Mb) must be uploaded on the website. For the Bachelor program, these are:
- a double-sided digital copy of the baccalaureate diploma and of the transcript of records (graduates who took the baccalaureate exam in 2024 will submit, instead of the diploma, a copy of the certificate issued by the high school, stating the overall average obtained at the baccalaureate, the averages obtained in the years of study, the validity date and the fact that the diploma has not yet been issued);
- digital copy of your birth certificate;
- digital copy of the marriage certificate (in case of change of name) or other documents proving the change of name – if applicable;
- copy of your ID card or passport;
- a copy of the standard medical certificate issued by a doctor’s surgery or family doctor.
- After uploading your documents, you will find a button in the application form for online payment of the application fee (also available at: ####. The payment is secure and made through the euplătesc.ro platform. Fill in all the fields and select the type of fee you wish to pay: for Bachelor (350 lei) or Master (400 lei). Press the “Pay” button and then follow the platform’s instructions for entering the payment instrument data until you receive confirmation of the payment.
Payment must be made in the candidate’s name for the application to be valid.
If a candidate withdraws or is not admitted, the admission application fee will not be refunded.
The application fee is waived for children of active teachers, candidates orphaned by both parents, candidates coming from children’s homes or foster care (in such cases, please add documents proving that you belong to a category exempt from the application fee under “Upload documents”).
- Once you have uploaded your documents and paid the application fee, tick the Declaration of your sworn declaration that the documents submitted online are authentic and correspond to the originals.
- Press the “Submit” button to complete your online registration.
VERY IMPORTANT: The original documents of candidates who have applied online and have been admitted must be submitted to the secretariat by July 25, 2025 (for the first admission session) or September 26, 2025 (for candidates applying for the second session). If they fail to submit the original documents by the above-mentioned deadline, the seats thus released will be filled by the next candidates who fulfill the admission requirements or are put up for admission in a new session.
At this stage, the candidate registered online must submit the following documents to the dean’s office:
- original baccalaureate diploma and transcript of records (in the case of graduates who took the baccalaureate examination in 2024, the certificate issued by the high school, stating the overall average obtained in the baccalaureate, the averages obtained in the years of study, the validity date and the fact that the diploma has not yet been issued, must be submitted instead of the diploma; candidates enrolled in more than one program or in other higher education institutions, to which they have already submitted the original documents, may submit certified copies of the above-mentioned documents, accompanied by a certificate from the faculty to which they have submitted the original documents, certifying that they hold the original documents);

- envelope folder.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
At the “Petre Andrei” University of Iasi, admission to the undergraduate program is based on the formula: Ma = (a+b):2 where:
Ma – admission average
a – baccalaureat exam average;
b – grade obtained in written test of Romanian language and literature in the baccalaureate exam.
Admission to the Master’s program is based on the following formula:
Ma = (a+b):2 where:
Ma – admission average
a – the average obtained in the license exam;
b – overall weighted average of the years of study.
The overall admission average is calculated as an arithmetic average to two decimal places, without rounding. Candidates who have obtained the same overall average on admission will be further differentiated according to the average obtained in the baccalaureate examination respectively by the average of the license exam.
Places unconfirmed by the set deadlines are allocated to the next candidates who meet the admission conditions or are put out to competition again in a new session.
Frequently asked questions about applying online:
Î: I can’t pay the registration fee online (I don’t have a card/don’t want to pay by card/failed to make the payment), but I still want to register online. What I can do ?
A: If, for various reasons, you are unable to pay online, but also cannot come to the office to make the payment and wish to enroll online, fill out the online form and then call the secretary of the faculty for which you made your first choice, so that you can be offered other options to pay the fee. As registrations without payment of the registration fee are not considered complete, it is important that you notify the Dean’s Office of the situation so that another way to resolve the problem can be found before the end of the registration period.
Q: If I registered online, but I won’t be able to show my original documents during the registration period, what can I do in order not to lose my place?
A: If you already know that you will not be available between July 15-25, 2025 (or July 28-September 26, 2025, for Session II), the best solution would be to bring the original documents to the university before that period, thus turning your online registration into a physical registration on campus. In this way, you will not lose your place, even if you cannot be present at the university on the exact days in question. In such cases, however, we recommend that you immediately contact the secretariat of the faculty managing the specialization for which you made your first choice by telephone, so that you can get the best advice for your specific case.
Î: After registering online, making the payment and completing the form submission, I realized that I forgot to send a digital copy of a required document. Do I have to fill in the whole form again, upload all the documents again and pay the registration fee again?
A: No, you do not have to pay the fee again. You could fill in the whole form once more without paying the fee, but we do not recommend this, to save you the effort, but also to avoid overloading the database with duplicates and the possibility of errors in its management. It would be best to contact the secretariat of the faculty you are interested in by telephone to find the most convenient way to solve the problem (you may be given an e-mail address to which you can send the omitted document only).
Q: How can I make sure that my online registration has been correctly completed and recorded?
A: To be absolutely sure that your online application has been processed and registered, you can call the secretariat of the faculty for which you submitted your first option, who can confirm your registration once the data and proof of electronic payment in your name have been returned to the secretariat. You may also be contacted by the secretariat during the processing of your application if it is discovered that you omitted to provide significant information during your online registration. It is therefore very important that you provide valid contact details and that you pay the registration fee, which ensures that your online application is registered.
